How to convert a website to PDF
- Paste the address of the page you want to keep. You can leave out https://.
- Pick the paper size. A4 is the standard in most of the world. Letter is the standard in the US and Canada.
- Pick Desktop or Mobile. Desktop lays the page out at 1366 px wide. Mobile uses the phone layout at 390 px, which often gives a narrower, more readable single column.
- Add a wait if the page animates in or loads content late. One to three seconds is usually enough.
- Press Make PDF, then open the PDF in a new tab to check it, or download it straight away.
The PDF keeps the text as real text, so you can search it, select it and copy from it. Links stay clickable.
PDF or screenshot: which one do you need?
| Full page screenshot | ||
|---|---|---|
| Layout | Split into printable pages | One long image |
| Text | Searchable and selectable | Part of the picture |
| Links | Clickable | Not clickable |
| Looks exactly like the screen | Close, but follows the site's print styles | Yes |
| Best for | Printing, reading later, attaching to email | Design reviews, bug reports, social posts |
If the PDF looks different from the screen, that is usually on purpose: many sites ship print styles that hide menus, ads and sidebars. When you need a pixel exact copy, switch the format to PNG on the website screenshot tool.
Good to know before you convert
- Pages get 10 mm margins on every side, and the browser chooses where each page break falls.
- Pages are given up to 20 seconds to load. Very slow pages stop with a clear message.
- We open the page with no account and no cookies, so anything behind a login or paywall shows its sign in screen instead.
- Hide common cookie and consent banners is on by default, so the most common pop ups do not end up on page one. Some custom banners can still appear.
- Videos are not played. They show as a still frame or an empty box.
- Private networks, local addresses, raw IP addresses and unusual ports are blocked for safety.
Privacy: what happens to your PDF
We open the page on our side, print it to a PDF and send that file straight back to your browser. We do not save the PDF on our servers, and nothing is published. It stays in this tab until you close it, so download it if you want to keep it.
To stop abuse, we keep a daily count of captures and of which website names were captured (for example example.com), without the rest of the address. Each person can make 6 captures a minute and 60 a day.

Website to PDF FAQ
Is converting a website to PDF free?
Yes. There is no signup, no watermark and no paid plan. Each person can make 6 captures a minute and 60 a day.
Will the links in the PDF still work?
Yes. Links are kept and stay clickable, and the text is real text you can search and copy.
Why does my PDF look different from the website?
Many sites have print styles that hide menus, ads and sidebars when a page is printed, and the PDF follows them. If you want an exact copy of the screen, use the website screenshot tool and pick PNG.
Can I choose A4 or Letter?
Yes. Pick A4 or Letter before you press Make PDF. Every page gets a 10 mm margin.
Can I convert a page I am logged in to?
No. We open the page in a fresh browser with no account, so private pages show their sign in screen. Use your own browser's Print to PDF for those.
Do you keep a copy of my PDF?
No. The PDF is sent straight to your browser and is not saved on our servers. We only keep daily counts, including the website name, to stop abuse.
Why did my conversion fail?
The site may be down, slow (we wait up to 20 seconds), or blocking automated visitors. Check the address in your own browser and try again, or add a short wait.
