Background Remover Presets for Every Marketplace

A marketplace preset loads the free background remover with one platform's export size, background colour and file format already set, so the image you download is the shape that platform wants rather than something you resize afterwards. The main listing image is a rejection gate on most marketplaces, and it is the one image where getting the background wrong costs you the listing rather than a few percent of clicks.

The honest caveat, up front: these specs are category-dependent and they change. Snapdeal sizes clothing differently from handbags. Flipkart rejects white backgrounds for apparel while accepting them everywhere else. Every card below links to the document we read and the date we read it, and the platforms we could not source are listed at the bottom rather than quietly omitted.

Working presets

7live, none "coming soon"

Each of these opens the real editor with that platform's spec applied. Upload, cut out, export at the exact size on the exact background.

Marketplace guides

These pages walk through the job for a marketplace but do not apply a preset, because we have no citable published spec for them. They open the same free tool.

By what you do

Audience pages rather than spec pages. Storefronts and social platforms have no QC team rejecting your upload, so these are about consistency, not compliance.

By the job

When the platform is not the point and the job is.

Specs we could not verify

These are marketplaces we deliberately have no preset for. Building a page for each of them would be easy and would look more complete; it would also mean publishing numbers we cannot stand behind. Here is what we tried instead.

  • Vinted

The Vinted help centre pages we could reach on 2026-07-26 returned navigation shells rather than the photo-requirements article, so we have no citable dimensions. The 1080 x 1350 figure circulating on competitor preset pages is not something we could confirm from Vinted.

What would change this: A readable Vinted help-centre article stating photo dimensions.

  • JioMart

Only third-party numbers exist (commonly 1000 x 1000, under 8 MB, white, 1:1). No JioMart seller-portal page and no integration-partner mirror was reachable.

What would change this: A reachable JioMart seller-portal or partner-integration document.

  • Etsy

Etsy's seller handbook pages returned 403 to us. Etsy also does not mandate a background colour, which makes a background preset a weak fit — /background-remover/for-etsy stays a guidance page rather than becoming a spec page with invented numbers.

What would change this: A readable Etsy listing-image requirements page.

  • Shopify

Shopify is a storefront platform, not a marketplace with a QC team, so there is no spec to comply with — the "requirement" is whatever your own theme and brand standards are. A preset would imply a rule that does not exist.

What would change this: Nothing. This is correctly a guidance page, not a preset.

  • Shopee, Lazada, Temu, SHEIN, Trendyol, MercadoLibre

No verifiable published spec obtained for any of them.

What would change this: A primary or partner-documented spec per platform.

  • Wildberries, Ozon

No demand evidence and no readable spec. Building preset pages for marketplaces we cannot source and have no traffic signal for is how a hub turns into a link farm.

What would change this: Evidence of demand plus a readable spec.

About these presets

Do these presets actually apply, or is it a button that does nothing?

They apply. Opening a preset page loads the real background remover with that marketplace's export size, background colour, output format and (for Flipkart apparel) drop shadow already set. Upload a photo and the export comes out at those exact dimensions on that exact background. This is worth stating because it is not a given: on 2026-07-26 we opened three platform pages on the largest competing preset hub, and two of them (Flipkart and Meesho) rendered an "Apply … preset" button badged "soon" with the note "Live after the editor upgrade rolls out". Their Amazon page was live. We checked three pages, not all of theirs, so treat that as a sample rather than a count.

Why do you only have seven presets when other sites have over a hundred?

Because we would have to invent the specs for the rest. Six of ours come from a platform document or an integration partner's mirror of one, each linked and dated in the table above. One (Meesho) is labelled unverified because Meesho keeps its guidelines behind the Supplier Panel login. Everything we could not source is listed at the bottom of this page instead of being turned into a page with confident-looking numbers.

Is pure white really what every marketplace wants?

No, and this is the most expensive myth in marketplace photography. Amazon does require a white main image. Flipkart explicitly rejects white for apparel and requires light grey with a soft shadow. Snapdeal requires a light neutral — cream, off-white, light grey or beige — for clothing, and reserves white for fashion accessories. Running one white preset across your whole multi-marketplace catalogue will get apparel rejected.

What happens if my photo is smaller than the preset size?

The editor tells you and refuses to fake it. It never upscales, so if your crop is 900 px wide and the preset targets 1600, you get a notice with your real numbers and a link to the free image upscaler rather than a file that silently misses the spec the page just promised.

The rest of the listing-photo pipeline

A preset handles the cutout, the shape and the background. These handle the rest, and they are free too.

Choose The Right Tool

Why this page exists

Use background remover when the main job is isolating the subject. It is the cleanup step that makes the other tools perform better.

Best for

  • Products, portraits, and objects that need transparent backgrounds
  • Preparing cleaner assets before merging, collaging, or avatar creation
  • Quick cutouts for ecommerce, social, and design workflows
