Glossy or matte photo paper, 50x70mm for passport. ID Card (RG) uses 30x40mm format. Cut the photo to exactly 50 x 70 mm (2.0" x 2.8") — any deviation beyond 0.5 mm can trigger rejection.

A standard 4x6 inch (10x15 cm) print sheet holds 3 photos at this size — a cost-effective option at any photo kiosk or home printer. Leave a small margin between cuts.

The background must be White background only and completely uniform — any gradients, shadows, or patterns are grounds for rejection.

Brazilian passports require the 50x70mm format (larger than European standard). The ID Card (RG) uses the smaller 30x40mm format. Policia Federal offices accept digital photos uploaded through the online appointment system.

Brazil passport applications typically require you to submit printed photos with your application form at a passport office, post office, or consulate. Bring 2 copies unless the application form specifies otherwise.
