What Myntra actually requires
Myntra asks for 1080 x 1440 or larger at 72 dpi or more, and it states the 3:4 aspect ratio separately as something that must be maintained. That second sentence is what makes Myntra different from a marketplace that only sets a pixel floor: a 2000 x 2000 square is bigger than the minimum and still wrong. Background is white or light grey, format is JPEG only, and the file has to weigh between 500 KB and 1 MB — a window with both a floor and a ceiling, which is unusual enough that it catches sellers coming from marketplaces that only publish a maximum. Between one and seven images are permitted per SKU, with the exact count depending on the category, so a category that expects five angles will not accept a single hero shot. Read those four rules together and Myntra is asking for something quite specific: a tall, studio-lit fashion image on a near-neutral field, sized to the same shape as every other tile in the grid it will appear in. The shape rule is not decoration. Myntra renders its listing grid at a fixed portrait ratio, and an image that arrives at a different shape either gets letterboxed or rejected rather than being cropped for you.
The Myntra failure mode: a correct-looking square
Sellers who standardise their whole catalogue on 1:1 because Amazon and Meesho are square get bounced by Myntra even when the images are large, clean and on the right background, because the 3:4 requirement is a shape rule and no amount of resolution fixes a wrong shape. The second failure is the file-size window. A flat cutout on a solid white field compresses extremely well, and it is genuinely easy to produce a technically perfect 1080 x 1440 JPEG that comes out at 180 KB and lands under Myntra's 500 KB floor. If that happens, export at higher quality or keep more of the original scene detail rather than cropping to a plain silhouette.
What this page will not do for you
This page controls shape, size, background and format. It does not control the encoded file size, and Myntra sets both a floor and a ceiling on that. What is the correct image size for Myntra?

Can I upload a square image to Myntra?
The documentation asks for the 3:4 aspect ratio to be maintained, so a square is the wrong shape regardless of how many pixels it has. This is the most common reason a perfectly good product photo gets rejected by Myntra after passing on other marketplaces.
Why does my Myntra JPEG come out too small in kilobytes?
Because a clean cutout on a flat background is one of the most compressible images there is. Myntra wants the file between 500 KB and 1 MB, and a 1080 x 1440 silhouette on solid white can compress to well under that. This tool cannot force a file to be heavier, so treat the size window as a manual check after export.
White or light grey for Myntra?
Both are allowed by the documentation, which says images should be white or light grey. This page offers both as presets. Note that this is different from Flipkart, where light grey with a soft shadow is specifically required for apparel and white is rejected, so do not assume the two platforms share a background rule even though they sell the same categories to the same shoppers.
How many images does Myntra want per SKU?
Between one and seven, and the documentation is explicit that the exact number may differ by category. A five-image set covering front, back, detail, fabric and a styled shot is a reasonable default for apparel, but check what your category manager expects before you commit a whole catalogue to a smaller set.
Does 72 dpi matter if my pixel dimensions are already correct?
Not in practice. The dpi value stored in a JPEG header is metadata for print sizing and has no effect on how many pixels the file contains or how it renders on a screen. Myntra asks for 72 dpi or more, and any file exported from this page or from a normal camera satisfies that. Focus on the pixel dimensions and the 3:4 shape, which are the rules that actually get images rejected.
