Must comply with ANTS (Agence Nationale des Titres Securises) standards. 35x45mm on matte paper. Cut the photo to exactly 35 x 45 mm (1.4" x 1.8") — any deviation beyond 0.5 mm can trigger rejection.

A standard 4x6 inch (10x15 cm) print sheet holds 8 photos at this size — a cost-effective option at any photo kiosk or home printer. Leave a small margin between cuts.

The background must be Light grey, light blue, or light neutral background (not white) and completely uniform — any gradients, shadows, or patterns are grounds for rejection.

France has strict photo standards enforced by ANTS. Many applications now accept digital photos via the France Identite app or approved photo booths (photomatons).

Attach printed Visa photos securely to your visa application form. Some France consulates require photos to be affixed with adhesive on the back — avoid staples which can damage the print.

Photo recency requirement: Must be taken within the last 6 months.
