Print on glossy or matte photo paper at 600 DPI minimum. Most home inkjet printers produce sufficient quality at this resolution. Cut the photo to exactly 17 x 25 mm (0.7" x 1.0") — any deviation beyond 0.5 mm can trigger rejection.

A standard 4x6 inch (10x15 cm) print sheet holds 32 photos at this size — a cost-effective option at any photo kiosk or home printer. Leave a small margin between cuts.

The background must be light grey and completely uniform — any gradients, shadows, or patterns are grounds for rejection.

For women, the hijab must cover all hair but the full face from forehead to chin must be visible. The hijab color should contrast with the white background.

Attach printed Visa 17x25mm photos securely to your visa application form. Some Iran consulates require photos to be affixed with adhesive on the back — avoid staples which can damage the print.

Photo recency requirement: Must be taken within the last 6 months.
