Photo Passport Vietnam

Glossy photo paper, 40x60mm for passport (larger than ICAO standard). Cut the photo to exactly 40 x 60 mm (1.6" x 2.4") — any deviation beyond 0.5 mm can trigger rejection.

A standard 4x6 inch (10x15 cm) print sheet holds 3 photos at this size — a cost-effective option at any photo kiosk or home printer. Leave a small margin between cuts.

The background must be White background for passport; blue background for ID card and completely uniform — any gradients, shadows, or patterns are grounds for rejection.

Vietnamese passport photos are 40x60mm, larger than the European standard. For e-Visa applications, digital photos can be uploaded through the official xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn portal.

Vietnam passport applications typically require you to submit printed photos with your application form at a passport office, post office, or consulate. Bring 2 copies unless the application form specifies otherwise.

Photo recency requirement: Must be taken within the last 6 months.
