Malaysia Passport Photo -- MyKad, Passport, and the Blue vs White Rule

Since 2022, Malaysian citizens can renew passports through the MyOnline Passport system without visiting a JIM office. The digital photo upload requirements:

• Format: JPEG only

• White background, no compression artifacts

• Under 1 year: Eyes may be partially closed. The child must be the only subject in the photo. A common technique is laying the baby on a white sheet and photographing from above.
