Jamaica Passport Photo -- PICA Requirements and Practical Guidance

Jamaica-Specific Rules

Glasses: PICA does not accept passport photos with any type of glasses. This applies to prescription eyeglasses, reading glasses, sunglasses, and tinted lenses. Uniforms: No military, police (JCF), school, or work uniforms. Plain civilian clothing only.

Recency: Photos must be taken within the last 12 months -- Jamaica is more generous here than many countries that require 6-month recency.

Digital retouching: PICA does not accept photos with digital manipulation. Beauty filters, skin smoothing, and AI-enhanced portraits are rejected during manual review.
