Printed on high-quality photo paper, between 35-40mm wide and 45-50mm high. Cut the photo to exactly 35 x 45 mm (1.4" x 1.8") — any deviation beyond 0.5 mm can trigger rejection.

A standard 4x6 inch (10x15 cm) print sheet holds 8 photos at this size — a cost-effective option at any photo kiosk or home printer. Leave a small margin between cuts.

The background must be Plain light-colored background (white, off-white, or light grey) and completely uniform — any gradients, shadows, or patterns are grounds for rejection.

Australia Post offices offer passport photo services for around AUD $19.95, or you can use our free tool and print at home.

Attach printed Visa photos securely to your visa application form. Some Australia consulates require photos to be affixed with adhesive on the back — avoid staples which can damage the print.

Photo recency requirement: Must be taken within the last 6 months.
